Visa
Make Every Second Count
To drive adoption of contactless payments, we asked NFL stars Saquon Barkley and George Kittle to imagine all the incredible things they could do with the time they saved tapping to pay. Thanks to Visa, they make every second count.
These tongue-in-cheek digital spots garnered over 60M impressions and gave Visa a 6pt lift in brand awareness. They also ushered in a wave of contactless adoption. Within a year, the number of contactless payments in America spiked from 4.7 billion in 2019 to 8 billion in 2020.
Nearly half a million people passed through the NFL Shop in the week leading up to Super Bowl LIII and an additional 2,000 materials were used in 80+ stores, restaurants and hotels in the Atlanta area. A pepsi exec would later comment that βthe brand was everywhere.β
