To drive adoption and awareness of contactless payments during the Super Bowl, we asked NFL stars Saquon Barkley and George Kittle to imagine all the incredible things they could do with the time they saved tapping to pay. At the end of the day, time is money. Make every second count when you pay faster with Visa.

These tongue-in-cheek digital spots garnered over 60M impressions and gave Visa a 6pt lift in brand awareness. They also ushered in a wave of contactless adoption. The result: The number of contactless payments in America spiked from 4.7 billion to 8 billion YoY.

Nearly half a million people passed through the NFL Shop in the week leading up to the Super Bowl and an additional 2,000 materials were used in 80+ stores, restaurants and hotels. A Pepsi exec commented that our “brand was everywhere.”
